From the Chinese herbal medicine is known that Diospyros kaki trees contain attributes that could maybe cure illnesses as a result of radioactivity. In China Kaki is used among others against hair loss, internal bleeding and absence of saliva. There are indications that this tree in general promotes secretions and that the fruit (through tannin) has an positive effect in leukaemia.
In homeopathy there was a first homeopathic proving with the kaki tree from Nagasaki. More research needs to be done with respect to the healing powers of the Kaki tree.
